Iāve been working in digital marketing for over 17 years, with experience both as an in-house specialist and as a consultant. For the past 13 years, I co-founded a Dutch agency, growing it to a team of 14 FTE. Eventually, we received an offer to sell the companyāa tough decision, to say the least. But it was time for a change and new beginnings, though I cherish all the great adventures I had with our team and clients.
Perhaps the biggest change was moving with my Spanish wife and our son to the Spanish coast. I guess Iām not one for taking the easy road; I thrive on challenges, both for myself and others. Continuous learning and improvement are what drive me. I read a lot, strive to learn as much as possible, and have found a balance that works perfectly for me. I run a few digital projects (e-commerce and websites) and also do consultancy work. I love the mixāit keeps me learning, gaining new skills, collaborating with others, yet still working independently. Plus, itās just a lot of fun.
My approach is practicalāIām not one for overcomplicating things or creating unnecessary fuss. I want you to understand what weāre doing, with no black boxes or secrets. Letās face it, weāre not building a rocket here, so thereās no need to make things more complex than they need to be. But donāt get me wrongārunning a website or webshop requires craftsmanship, passion, and knowledge, and I take great pride in my work.
